Getting There

By Air

The South West of France is very rural which has its advantages. However a disadvantage is that we do not have a local bus service so we strongly recommend car hire from the airport if you are flying.

There are four airports within easy reach with direct flights to the UK.

Bordeaux (90 minutes) Direct flights to London (LGW, STN and LTN), Edinburgh, Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester with British Airways, EasyJet, Ryanair and FlyBE.

Biarritz (90 minutes) Direct flights to London (STN) with Ryanair.

Toulouse (120 minutes) Direct flights to London (LGW) with British Airways and EasyJet.

Bergerac (140 minutes) Direct flights to London (STN) with Ryanair and Southampton with FlyBE.

Non-Direct flights to many other UK airports can be found with connections at the above UK airports and Paris or Amsterdam.

By Train

Eurostar/TGV via Paris or Lille to Bordeaux. Fastest journey time about 7 hours.

There is a station at Mont de Marsan which is 25 kilometres from Le Houga. This has local services to Bordeaux and Dax.
